Search Function Crashes

For some reason whenever i go to use the search function it just disappears and i have to try and find the file manually. Is there any particular reason for this. Thanks for your time.

If the above doesn't work you could try using System Restore to get back to when Search did work.

If still no luck have a look at this site,

Look under Win XP Fixes.

You could also try running Sfc /Scannow from the Run Box to check your system files.
