search for email in exchange

My manager wants to know how many emails sending to directors (one of the group in ou) for this yr. Mail log is set to rotate in 7 days and I don't have all the backup. Is there any way I can search the whole storage group / mailstore for email sent to specific address / group? I know I can mount each mailbox and search it this way but it will be very time consuming.

No way to tell then, since even checking each mailbox will miss any deleted during the year.

Going forward there are ways that you can tell, but looking back will not be possible.

Enable journaling so you can capture that data going forward.
