I need a example of how to build a search SQL statement. That will search for differnet cabinets or certain a cabinet and then search the cabinets row for items listed. Also, will give a error if the cabinet number or row number is not vaild.

Exmaple cabinet 10 search list all items in row 2.

Using the Search button above your post, if you search on Filter in this forum and others, you'll probably find what you need.

Or you could post your table and fields so someone can create the SQL for you.

Is this a homework question? It's pretty basic for this forum.

GB2's first post. Welcome! You don't do "all items in row 2".
I prefer to use SQL, and not the built-in filter stuff.
What you want would be something like "SELECT * FROM your table WHERE cabinetnumber = 10" or some such. Do some searching in Access help, and the FAQs here (as well as other TT forums - do a site search). Some topics you will need some basic experience with include "Forms Design", Recordsets", "Queries", etc. A good place to start with the SQL is at . Let us know if you get an "A" or not....
