Well Guys..
This might sound stupid..we are planning to change our hosting company...I was really concerned how it will affect our SE placements...The DNS transfer will take a day..also the site will get new IP..will this affect the rankings or the way spiders see the site??

It shouldn't make any difference (unless perhaps Google happens to hit your site that same day, but still...chances are....also, you should be just about back up to where you were before once they hit your site again).

I agree with RISTMO it shouldn't make much of a difference. Once google starts visiting your site, it will do so at regular intervals, so you should be ok.
