Search Engine Submitters 1

I am looking for some software (preferably low cost) for automating Web site search engine submissions. We have using NetSubmitter Pro from mrtech.com and although it does the trick, I have had problems getting the most recent upgrade.<br>

P.S. - In the same vein, I'm looking for good resource/information on general search engine submission requirements and methods (i.e. - meta tag usage, recommended search sites, how to keep your submissions fresh...)
