Search Engine Optimization Software

Does anyone here have any experience with SEO Software? I understand the basic idea is that the software will give your website a higher chance of being returned in the top 10 of a search engine.

Beyond the basic concept I don't understand much. Does anyone have any experience with how effective SEO Software is? I am looking specifically at Web Position Gold.

I am trying to understand the basics so that I can properly evaluate how useful such software can be as well as how to make the most of using such software in the site design perspective.

The main advice you will get there is to make your site accessible (standards compliance, visible to text only agents etc) and make it useful to HUMANS - if the site is genuinely useful, you will gain much more credit than if it is useless - build up links honestly - don't buy links to your site etc- this rarely works and if the services providing it are a little dodgy you can get blacklisted.

Anyway, post in the SEO forum and they will give you plenty of advice.
