Search Engine in the making.. Please Help...

ok... now "hypothetically"..... if you had a unix server, and you wanted to create a web site that would input a search and read the results from other search engines, whcih would then put those results into a continuous line on your site.... What would be the way to go? ....

I would also like to hear your opinions on what you all feel about the old stealing search results conflict. Do you feel that:

1. The search engine is getting the extra hits... and geting their name on another site.. why are they complaining?

2. They work hard enough not to be taken from. They should at least be charging for the use of this kind of exchange.

I would check with the search engines you might want to use. See what they say and abide by their wishes. Treat them as you would want to be treated.
