Search Engine + DB Xtras

Hi folks,

wondered if any of you guys have coded a search engine in Lingo or know if the tools out there can handle it for me. I've got a CDROM based project that needs to hook up to a database that contains 21 references to PDF files, and each pdf has around 4000 words.... =84000 words.

I've found an example:

That is quite impressive but if you try a 'close proximity' search then it can't handle it.

My other thought is that one of the Xtras 0 V12, FileFlex etc may have this functionality build in in some form?

Alternatively if there is a Lingo GURU out there we may contract the job... contact me direct if you're interested.

I've also heard of Datagrip - PC only mind.

Has anyone used it for text searches?

Graham, we may need something similar for a project - just wondered how you got on and how easy it might be for a director novice to build.

If it's not straightforward we may contract out....so if you're, or anybody else, interested get in touch.
