hello there...
i'm trying to automate routine job. i would appreciate any help.
here's how/why:
i got these files daily - accumulated logs per hour, daily. each file resides in the same directory.
fileA
fileB
fileC
i want to search for a specific "log" status; say "down" every hour within each day for each file. but i want it to make count of each "down" status every hour and log it, like something:
A B C . . .
00 xx xx xx
01
02
:
:
23
where x = represents the count of the "down" status (per hour). 00-23 represents the time.
could anyone have same script to do the job?
thanks in-advance.
