I use the citrix explorer view to give useres a Live desktop with all the company database etc within that window. Now in my trainin many moons ago i seen to remember you being able to drag anything you see on the citrix desktop onto your local laptop seemlessly. But at the moment i cant i hit the side of the windows and thats it ? Can this be done, and if so what am i doing wrong or what setting havnt i enabled ?

The only think that I can think of is:
This doesn't allow drag and drop, but any .doc will load Word on the server rather than the clients machine.

I think what you are referring to is published applications. You publish the application to the users and when they connect to the application set you can make the icons appear on their desktop and in their start menu. Then no need to go to a desktop.
