If all I need is a report server that generates reports on a scheduled basis and broadcasts/publishes these reports to a web server for view-only access, can I build this using CR 8 or 7? Does anyone think I need something as big as Seagate Info?

I dont see any reason why CR8 wouldnt suit your needs, i got a free 60 day demo of CR8 from seagate. See if you can get one, then you can try it out for yourself and be sure it will do all you need it to.

You need Info if you need to schedule a report, or you can write your own scheduler application in VB.

Info (only up to V7) has a scheduler and Crystal Reports does not. I personally think Info is to much grief to configure but you can get a free license (in the US) to test. Ken Hamady
