Working with Seagate Info 7.5, quick question.

I have setup a user with their own private folder and reports. My question is this...

They run the report and get a successful instance, can I then copy the successful instance (not the report object) and move it to another folder for others to view?

Thanks .. any advice is helpful.

Nope.
Advice: I would stay away from private folders altogether. For security use permissions instead. You can use those on the folder or the object level. This way you can control very finely who can schedule and who can see what report instance.

If you place a shortcut to the object in the porivate folder to another folder, the report object in the other folder will see all of the schedules of the object in the private folder.

Note one thing I would test as I have moved on to Crystal enterprise, but check to see if the instances that are scheduled in a private folder can be viewed in a public folder.

That may be a gotcha

Hope this helps
