To enable all processing to take place on the server, I did the following...
Created QRY in Crystal SQL Designer with input parameters (string and date).
Created RPT in Report Designer based on QRY.
Attempted to run RPT using Seagate Analysis (as users will).
The problem I get is that Seagate Analysis pops up the "Logon to Data Server" window for the source "Query" and does not allow me to get past this window, just accepting my input and repopping the window. "Query" is how CR refers to the datasource created with SQL Designer.
Repeating this process without putting any input parameters in the SQL Designer presents no problems and allows me to logon to the data source and run Seagate Analysis.
Repeating this process, but creating the parms in Report Designer also works fine, as well as creating the parms directly in Seagate Analysis. Both of these methods result in a much slower response, so I really need this first design to work.
Could anyone give me some words of advice here???
Thanks,
Robert Waldrop
