Hi All,

Would anyone be able to explain to me how Seagate Analysis connects to a SQL 7 database when a report is opened. Basically, I'm a SQL DBA so not to hot on the software. However, I have messaging set to mail me for login failures on the SQL box, and whenever a Seagate report is opened, I recieve a message. The ODBC setting that the user has set is definately pointing to the correct database (the only one he has acess to!!) and it is running fine, but I keep getting login failure mails. On tracing what happens, when the report is opened, the ODBC connects to the master database, immediately disconnects, then connects to the correct DB. Can't see any issues with the report or the ODBC setting, so thought it might be something in how Seagate tries to use the ODBC. Any help appreciated!
