Hi,

Can a 500 be a backup to a SE if the extensions are low, in this case 60?

Only if you have Server Edition Select licensing.

derfloh , Are you sure about this? I have a non select customer with IPO SE (200 users) and IPO500v2 as a backup/failover and its working fine. Unless I did not get the question right.

IPO500 v2 can be a backup for phones up to its users limit.

I was sure until I read your answer.

Usually it was only supported to fail over from primary to secondary server or from expansion systems to the servers.

If you need fail over to expansions you need(ed?) select licenses.

Or did they change that in R11/11.1?

Select will give you a "location failover" option. where you can choose some phones from location C to failover to location A and some to location B.
