Hi Guys,

I have a question about the SDS Repair function as I've not required it before and am intrigued to see if it could help me in an upcoming project.

Lets assume I have a cluster of 4 x MXeIII's (MCD5 SP1 and using GARID). The first hosts the users, the second is resilient and the other two are Trunking Gateways. If the customer wanted to go from a 4 to 5 digit numbering scheme could I build a replica User MCD database/controller in the lab with the same database apart from the new 5 digit scheme and plug it in on site and perform an SDS repair to push out the amended numbers to the resilient MCD and TG's?

Thanks.

I raised this with Mitel and they informed me that this method is not possible as whenever a change is made to an extn, the GUID is changed. Syncing this new database would just create new RDN entries and not amend/delete the old ones.

Ideally you would need a replica of the cluster in the lab with dtabases and licenses and make the changes here before restoring onsite.
