SDelete: Use on Windows XP? 3

Sysinternals provides the free SDelete utility to securely erase files. However, the description at

http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/SDelete.html

says “SDelete works on Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0 and Win2K” – with no mention of Windows XP.

Is SDelete compatible within Windows XP?

My guess is, "no". Otherwise they would have listed it.

Why don't you try it and find out if it works. XP is based on NT so there is a very good chance that it may work without any problems. It seems many people are using it on XP if you look at Google.
