Hey everyone,

I'm trying to configure the HBA referenced above on an arbitrated loop SAN on a Sun E250 server running Solaris 8. So, I followed the guidelines with the solaris driver and reconfigured the sd.conf and st.conf files to search for scsi/fc disks and tapes from addresses 0-255 (each LUN 0 to start). I guess the real problem..hehe...is that I can't get the server to boot with the st.conf and sd.conf files I've edited - can I boot from disk with any parameters, etc. bypassing the .conf files mentioned so that I can then correct them?

Here is an example of the lines I've added to the .conf files - ("st" and "sd" respectively)

name="st" class="scsi" target=158 lun=0
name="st" class="scsi" target=159 lun=0...

name="st" class="scsi" target=166 lun=0
name="st" class="scsi" target=167 lun=0
name="st" class="scsi" target=168 lun=0
name="st" class="scsi" target=169 lun=0
name="st" class="scsi" target=170 lun=0
name="st" class="scsi" target=171 lun=0
name="st" class="scsi" target=172 lun=0
name="st" class="scsi" target=173 lun=0

At boot I'm getting the following error scrolling by:

Warning class, property already specified...
.....(Line #.....)

probably one for each of 256 lines in the file and then an unexpected end-of-file mark which causes a dump and the server reboots

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
