I have a system at 9.1, we had some issues with the SD Card and was informed to recreate the SD Card. I made the mistake of doing this with my 10.0 software on the computer, so it recreated the card at 10.0. Not a huge problem I figured. So I reinstalled 9.l on to my computer and recreated the SD Card using 9.1. Now when I insert the SD card into the phone system it says the version is 6.0 and wont recognize. It was always a 9.1 and I was asked to do this by tech support who seemed perplexed at what was going on after recreation. Do I need to recreate at 9.0 and then go to 9.1 or is this a problem with the card overall? Just trying to figure out the solution going forward. Thanks.

I think I would try reformatting the card and then recreate it. If that doesn't fix it you may need a new card. There would be no reason to do a stepped upgrade for recreating the SD.

Go into the card and check in the primary folder under filelist.txt what the release is.

Just because you are using R9.1 manager does not necessarily mean you are using the R9.1 .bin files to create the SD card. Check in file>change working directory and see what the binary directory is set to. If you have multiple versions of manager on your system you could be pointing at the wrong version's .bin files which would install that version.

IE If I have R9.1.12 manager, but my .bin folder is pointed at R8.1(85) folder, the SD card would recreate at R8.1(85).

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
