SCSI SmartArray 6400

How can I get Precision 450 (DELL) to boot a logical array configured on a HP SmartArray 6400 SCSI controller? I have a MegaRAID 500 and the system BIOS detects it and allows the system to boot to it. However, the BIOS cannot detect the SmartArray. Also, when I boot into Windows from an IDE harddrive the OS detects the SmartArray and creates windows volumes for the logical drives.

Any ideas. Thanks
