is it possible for a SCSI scanner to communicate using COM1?

I'm trying to scan through Citrix, and I think that you may be able to duplicate your COM1 port during a client session. I hear that you can use a serial scanner in a Citrix session. I don't have a serial scanner, or I'd just try that.

Anybody heard of this or know anything to prove this theory wrong?

They talk different languages using different hand signals.
You can get parallel/scsi devices for use through the parallel port but there might not be any way of getting the parallel to talk to citrix for the application.
