Hi all,

Does a beast like this exist?

scsi raid tower sorage device accessible from 2 or more servers.

I'd like to connect 2 servers using scsi to a storage tower where both servers can have access to the sames files. Is there something available that will allow me to do this?

Regards,

Victor

btw. I'd like to do this with a direct scsi connection to the drive tower, not using the network. :)

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Victor

If the RAID tower supports more than one channel then you can attach 1 server to one channel and another to the other but that does NOT mean they'll share the same drives PER channel. Drives 1-4 might be on channel0 and drives 5-8 on channel1 for example.

Hope that helps,

There are lots of different RAID towers that will support multiple host connections.

Depending on what type of technology you want ie: SCSI, Fibre Channel, SATA, ATA - there are many different product to choose from.

Check these guys out for some product listings - there are lots of others out there as well.
