Hi there,
I just installed a CD-R/RW into my Gateway PIII/450 mHZ computer. Windows 2000 PRO service pack 3
Config- CD-ROM -Slave for secondary IDE
CD-R/RW-Master for secondary IDE
scsi adapter in one PCI slot
Ethernet card in another
Printer hookedup to the parallel port
one floppy- Slave for Primary IDE
one hard drive- Master for Secondary IDE

The CD-R/RW will play audio CD's fine and is functioning properly according to the device manager.
When I try to run the Burning software "B's RecorderGold5.09" I get the error-

"Stop:0x000000D1 (0x000000DB, 0x00000012, 0x00000000, 0xEB4571787)
Driver_IRQL_not_les_or_equal"

I tried updating to the latest version of B's- same result

My IRQ report is-

[Problem Devices]

Device PNP Device ID Error Code
Primary IDE Channel PCIIDE\IDECHANNEL\4&CB9060A&0&0 32
Secondary IDE Channel PCIIDE\IDECHANNEL\4&CB9060A&0&1 32

I tried changing to plug in play in the bios but that did not help.

My guess is that I do not need the SCSI/RAID host controller's set to IRQ, 14 and 15 (Same as Primary and secondary IDE)? I know I can change the IRQ's manually but do not know which I should change. I am afraid of messing up my system.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
Marc
