SCSI problem, only 1MB / second

Hi Guys,

OS: Windows XP
Device : Freecom Tapeware LTO-215

I keep have trouble with this Freecom device.
If I attach it to a standalone pc with an Adaptec SCSI card 19160 (capable of 160MB/sec).

I only get a speed of +- 1MB/sec or (70MB/min).

What could be the problem? I've updated the drivers of the SCSI card.
