scsi parity error quantum

Hi folk,
NetBackup 3.4.2 with ATL P7000 16 x SDLT220 LVD drives

Always receiving error below in my /var/adm/messages

Initially I thought is the quantum drive problem, already get the quantum
drive SDLT220 replaced as well as the terminator, but still getting error
above in my Solaris 8 messages

Any other way should I look into this issue and how to resolve it

Looks like a problem a possible problem with the driver/st.conf. There can also be a problem with your adapter.

following are the possible scenarios:-

I don't think it is your drive, check the ribbon cable where your robot drive connected with the back plane scsi connectors, a minor fault in them can cause these.

2. Try using a different media for a test

3. Scsi parity errors or data phase errors usually indicates a problem with the cables & controllers.

4. Do a write test by manully mounting the tape, with all the drives down but one. and repeat this test on each of them to see which one cause these..

5. If you are using NetBackup, try patching it up with all the latest releases..

What is that means, what is tldd, tldcd ?
