Hello:

I have a stock Compaq Deskpro PIII 500Mhz EN Series. It came with a 9.3 Gig SCSi drive. The drive is shot. I ordered a new SCSI drive, set the jumpers correctly and plugged it in and it is not being recognized. I thought there was a problem with the drive. I ordered a new SCSI drive and the same thing happened. I am no computer wiz but I have installed many hard drives before and for the life of me can't figure out what the problem is. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Paul

Did you fdisk and format it? Does your controller show it up on post? Can you do a bus scan from the controller?
