IS-IT--Management
I have attached a 3rd hdd to a WinXP PC that has 2 IDE drives. The 3rd drive is a Seagate ST336607LW SCSI drive attached to an Adaptec 29160 controller. Lun support is turned off on the controller. In Windows disk management, the drive appears 7 times. Properties show it as 7 different LUN's. Paragon Hard Disk Manager also sees it 7 times. The disk is factory configured for SCSI ID 0 and is found in the SCSI BIOS only once.
When I try to assign a drive letter to any of the instances of the partitions on the drive, I receive a message the volume is in use try again.
FYI: The scsi drive was in use on an NT server that apparently is having a controller problem. Pretty sure the drive is OK since I used HDM to copy the partition to one of the IDE drives and all of the files are intact.
