If there is no CD-disk in the SCSI CD-drive before booting up Windows2K, the SCSI CDROM is not recognize. I tried putting a CD-disk after system enters Windows2K, but it still does not work. The only way the SCSI CDROM is recognize is when I put a CD in the drive before booting up Windows2K. Does anyone why this occurs?

Your question isn't really clear, can you explain a little better?

Sounds like you need to check the settings on your SCSI adapter, and change the polling for that SCSI ID.
