SCSI Cd Writer

After i formatted my HDD windows cannot recognize my SCSI sony cd writer. I installed win98Se. Do i have to get a driver to it ?

do you see, during boot, a line saying:

SCSI XXXXXXX bios ver yy.zz Installed ?
address 0-1-2-3 ? Sony CDRW ...

well to be a little less concise then the rest you may need to install the driver for the scsi card in windows 98se in order for your scsi cdrw to work. find out the manufacturer of the scsi card by opening up your pc and look for a model number on the card itself, for example and adaptec scsi card is usually ...AHA-xxxx..
its printed either on the main chipset of the card or somewhere on top side in white lettering. then go to the manufacturers website and look for the driver by model number, download it and install. good luck.
