I've just inherited the tape drive from a defunct Hp setup we had and I want to install it on my home Pc running XP Professional.

The tape drive model is: Lynxdat HP C1554A External.

Can anyone suggest what type of scsi card I would need?

M/board Assus A7v266E, Athlon 1800 1GB memory.

Thanks

You are looking for a SCSI II card.
Suspect that you have a case with 2 Amphenol 50 connectors, one maybe with a terminator.
Most SCSIII cards I've seen now have a 50 pin mini D connector for the external so you may need to purchase a different type of cable. Older systems had either 25s (like a printer port) or a 50 amphenol (like a printer connector except 14 connectors wider)
