from the webinar ...it looks good.
-Dell / IBM server
-SIP only clients
-product sits nicely between bcm and m1 capacities
-integrates with MS-Exchange
Took the training class on it,the ACD is not all that great but the rest of it looks good, easy to use. One downside is the only phones Nortel will support on it right now are the LG/Nortel and Polycom.
I went to the very first class for this product. Nice, but setting up SIP trunks to different systems (CS1k, BCM50) is a bit tough. But all in all, it's very nice.
Go to GOOGLE and search sipXecs.. This is the same platform that the SCS500 uses. It's free and it works nicely. Just doesn't have the Conferencing ability that the SCS500 has...
Maybe we need to get another FORUM setup for SIP based systems. I will gladly lend what I have learned so far..
