SCS 500 Account Codes/Prepaid Platform

Hi everyone,

I have an install working on but I have one issue. I am wanting to restrict some phones and only allow calls to be made with an access code. I have used a work around by making a ton of dial plans but this doesnt work well as each person's access code can be seen.

I was thinking of using a prepaid platform. Has anyone done this or has an idea of how it can be done?

You either want restrict access to trunks or specific dialing

I would like any of them. I would basically want that I have to enter some kind of code in order to make outside calls from certain telephones.

Thanks for your response. I did know about this and have this implemented at a customer but I am having a number of issues with it.

1. The customer complains that the account code shows. They want greater security.

2. I seem to be having intermittent issues with permissions. For some reason users can just dial a number and have the call go through without the code even if that dial plan is configured to use a permission they do not have.

Discussion with my colleagues has led me to explore a prepaid solution. I hope that will solve these problems.

BTW...Do you have the entire ebook with the scs tips and tips?
