I've been running netware 5 for about a year now. I've always used the scrsaver w/password protection after 3 minutes of inactivity. Rconsole to the server is a "normal" thing for me to do. Nothing new has been installed on the NW5 server recently, I tried to access the console using rconsole and found the snake had frozen up... whether this happened at that time or before, I don't know. Three days prior to that, the server console was accessable - that attempt was made direct at the console. I believe the nlm has frozen up so if I can just gain access to the server to unload the scrsaver nlm, I can access the console - upgrade the nlm and, hopefully, be a happy camper again. The network is fully functioning and the users are non the wiser but, I am currently unable to access my console!!!? Any ideas what I can do to get this server console accessible?

Can you get to it with the IP rconsole, RCONAG6?
If not, your only recourse may be to reboot the server after hours. ------------

I am able to gain access to the server via rconsolej.... Can't figure out how to execute commands on the server since the rconsolej screen shows the screen saver as active!

You can download NetTools from which is a Windows GUI utility and with that you can unload the NLM. I have done this on many occasions and it works ok. -----------------------------------------------------

I've downloaded the app.... did you try this utility with Netware 5. according to documentation it's for 3 and 4 - mostly 4.

Our whole infrastructure is NetWare 5.1 and it works ok. have you tried it? -----------------------------------------------------
