Scrolling text box with only up/down arrow 1

HOw do u make a scrolling text box with only an up and down arrow.. I would like for it to scroll on mouse over.

found the archived cheapskate version, based on macromedia technote14156, very simple:

Dave, quick question... The first file - textscroll - is that for flash4...? and scroll2, is that for flash 5...?

The reason I ask is that I had a look at the code and the amount of MC's in textscroll and it seems like alot of work but in scroll2 theres hardly any of either. I started with F4 but never realy got into any scripting.

from what i remember technote14156 was produced in the F4 era, yes. And I did make the second example in 5, the scripting would have been very longwinded in 4.
