scroll bars on masked movie clip

ok here are some easy bonus points

I want users to be able to scroll thru a verticle list of icons. These icons are in a movie clip, that is then masked on the stage, in MX, can i "hook up" a scroll bar or scroll pane to an instance of my movie clip?
