Hi
I want to use a vertical scroll bar on my text box, because I have to much text to fit it all on.

I have done some searches on the internet and they all talk about scroll bar, and how you can just drag it on from the components area.

However I do not have a scroll bar to drag on. All I seem to have is Scroll Pane, which doesnt seem to do the same thing? (it certainly doesnt give me the same property options as I am being told to expect.

Can someone tell me how to put a vertical scroll bar onto my Flash text box.
(i am using Flash MX Professional 2004) (but am clearly not a Professional user of Flash!)

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks for that.

One thing, if I go down the TextArea route, does that mean I cannot change the format of the text in the TextArea?

I dont see any way in properties of the TextArea to change font size, type etc.

Thanks again
RM

Drag a TextArea to the work area and in the properties pallette click on help. Select "Help on this Component" and then scroll down a bit. You will see there is a section on using styles with the textarea.

Good Luck!

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!
