Scroll Bar scrolling too far - what happened? update/fix?

Hi,

Has anyone else recently noticed that if you click the white area under the scroll bar, it scrolls down more than a page?

This is a constant irritation - however no settings on my system have changed. Perhaps this is a "feature" of a patch?

I hope im not alone!

This is an unintended consequence of the November, 2003 Cumulative Update for IE.

A recent discussion of the problem: Thread608-707053

The only reliable workaround is to remove "Internet Explorer Q824145" but then you do not have the security hotfixes anymore.

Go back to the "old fashioned" way and use the up or down arrows on the keyboard to move your page.
