I have a Mac OS X workstation, which I need to access a W2K share through a script. I need to update/make a text file with informations of some local inventory informations (AV update status and hopefully MAC OS update status). I can make the connection through the GUI and SMB, but it won't work through the command prompt. Also the GUI connection only works if I supply a user, even though it's and "open" share - that I can live with, if I can use it through the script.
Also if anyone know a status text file, with the informations about the automatic OS X updates. Need to make sure that the update is running on the regular schedule - or initiate the update from the script.
