Scripting - Local Area Connection Properties?

Does anyone have an example or reference on how to select/deselect and option in the local area connection properties "This connection uses the following items" i.e Client for Microsoft Networks?

Well, I've tried the NCPA.cpl method and it very unreliable. Not suitable for my application. Isn't there a way to script/batch this process? WMI/vbscript/vb/C#?
