I recently purchased a new laptop, and THEN discovered that Procomm is not compatible with XP Pro. I have to use scripted programming on Nortel systems. Is Procomm the only script software available?

Everything in procomm works, except for custom scripting (via Word and Excell). When I try to save the merged file, Procomm shuts down the Aspect window. Is there a work-around? Thanks.

Save the merged file as a txt and then copy and paste into aspect manager :)

I use SecureCRT from VanDyke Software which supports the hosting of "ActiveX Script" engines - the most common being VBScript and JScript (Microsoft's version of JavaScript).

I have created a few scripts in VBScript that work well for me.

Procomm IS compatible with XP Pro, I use it daily, just ignore the warnings when you install it. never had an issue with it. Not sure why it is shutting down your aspect window.

I only use the aspect windows, i don't use word or excel for the programming. My scripts pull from excel though with no problem.
