Script to update GECOS field of user Id's on HP-UX

Hi,
I need to change all the GECOS (user ID description field) values of all existing user ID's automatically. Is there a way to do this, instead of doing this manually which is time consuming?

I think the answer will depend on what exactly you want to change.
Maybe vipw and a global substitute will be helpful?
