Hi All,

I am trying to find out how to trigger reports without using the CE event server.

We have a large amount of reports that need to be scheduled to run. The reports need to be triggered after the completion of jobs on the systems outside of CE. The trigger will be kicked off by CA7 on IBM mainframe. Once the reports are completed successfully, the output needs to be sent back to the mainframe print queue. We will need to communicate the status of the various steps back to the mainframe for the support staff for monitoring.

Could you please let me know if this can be accomplished by a script instead of using the event server?

Thanks

I don't know that you could write a "script" to do this, but you could right a program for it. CE has an SDK that can be accessed from VB. As it uses COM interfaces, it could also be used from other programming languages.

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.
