Hi,

Does anyone know how to script the installation of a network printer on a Windows 98 machine? The script should also be able to capture the LPT1 port. I know it can be done for Win2k with the rundll32 command but am not sure if this is possible for Win98 machines.

Cheers for any help on this

well;
from the looks of this MS article
it doesn't seem so using the standard conventions, and even Win NT 4.0 clients will have problems - BUT - perhaps over in the Programming / Scripting forums there's a KIXstart, Perl, WSH or VBS solution...ask over there
