Hi all,

Does anyone knows a script to find out which process started a chain of blokings on SQL server 2k?

Thanks in advance

Do select * from sysprocesses on the master database - the blocked field will show you the process number of the blocking process. Alternatively you can look in the current activity monitor

You can also use the stored procedures sp_lock and sp_who to identify blocked and blocking spids. To gather more information on blocking, check the following links.
