script to change proxy setting

I am in the process of creating a script that will change the proxy address and port automatically with a click of a button.

The reason that I want to do this is because there are 3 addresses that we use and we change this ever so often. I want to save the time of opening the option box and clicking on the setting and enter the address.

have anyone done this??

might be worth while looking at automatic proxy configuration scripts.

if you have an internal webserver you could even do a cgi-bin version and get it to check for availability of the ports on machines you want.
