I'd like to write a script to input items to a static screen that rely's on cursor position, any examples of how to start?

Basically, I want to build a script that will add users to an Avaya PBX and if you have ever been in an Avaya PBX, the screen does not scroll, you enter data on a page, then hit F7 to advance to the next page, enter more data, etc etc then save.

The screen doesn't scroll, only the cursor position moves.

Hello Neil

I got your email today and I'm wondering now if there is a way to build a script via Procomm. I recently did a script for Meridian mail to remove all of the mail box's as I couldn't access the "tools" menu.

My script used some of the "f" keys (I think it was F3) I started my script by using the record function to go through the process of removing one mailbox, but doing this by slow typing on the keyboard to reduce any script errors. I then edited the script and I could see where I had key in the different keys including the left arrow one etc.

By adding in all the other parameters that needed a source file, I could then get the program to remove all of my box's in one go at a pace that suited the Mail system.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.
