Script problem

I am generating html with an ActiveX script which creates and writes files on the clients local C: drive. The activex script seems to be ignored in the generated html. If I copy the generated htm to my local drive and have my IE browser access this htm from the local drive, the activex script works. It just doesn't seem to work in the server environment. Is there something I must do to setup activex on the server to allow the activex script to run in the client browser?
