script help please

I am doing a script that get all information form the HMC about the lpars etc and I send the file to my repository and by mail

I would like to change this file to a web page as my repository server has apache configured

Do you know if there is some tool that can do it or how to do it manually (then I would be able to script it) ?

Hi Alexia,

Well just to share this with you, I do have a tool created by an IBM consultant (so it is not supported by him any more) which does sort of what you are saying. But with this script i have to install it on each LPAR. I don't know of any other official ones to be honest.

Isn't what the system planning tool on the HMC is for?
Or the HMC command sysplan if you prefer command line.
The output is in xml.

Check out HMC command line options for displaying the information you seek. Suggest downloading the redbook for HMC.

You could just output to a txt file then use txt2html (google), alternatively have a play with this script

Hi

I checked the script and didn;t really like it I prefer my script. What I have done is I generated a txt file with ; for separation and send it by email and then open the file via excel and give me a good inventory complete. I need to think who to do it better
