Hi

Does anyone know of a script to check which data is in which datafile?

thanks in advance...

Do you mean a database data file ? You can get this information by querying SYS.DBA_SEGMENTS to find out what objects are in each tablespaces. You can then link the tablespaces to the data files using SYS.DBA_DATA_FILES.

Can you give us an example of how you want to search for your "data"? Are you wanting a script to locate specific characters (e.g., "Cunningham") in specific database data files?

It would help us help you if we also know the context of why you would want to know "which data is in which datafile".
