On the basis of wat i can write a script which will change the password automatically for all the livelink admin password, DB schema passwords, and all the admin related passwords in one script?

The Livelink Admin user is a standard user and so can be updated via LAPI or the web interface.

The Admin.Index password is encrypted in the OpenText.ini file on each server and as such would need to be changed via ?func=admin.sysvars on each machine, although once the first one had be done you may be able to copy the same value to the other servers.

If you change the Database password you would need to remake the database connection between Livelink and your Database to regenerate the information in the OpenText.ini file, again this is server specific and could be copied from one to the rest once an update is done.

When changing any password consider any other systems which use them such as AutoVue/Brava/OnTime etc.

Thanks greg..bt i would like to know in some of the livelink architecture and big systems, i heard that..once in a 3 month, the livelink admin password, administration password and database passwords are automatically changed and updated in a record, how it could be happen. Recently in previous organisation, where i used to do be a developer, the support guys used to keep track of passwords and changing even once in 2 month for all the livelink system passwords and DB passwords. Is there any 3rd party script available or any DB copy or any Livereport which is scheduled to run every 2nd month!
